LLM API Cost Calculator
Enter your token usage and your provider’s published input/output rates. The calculator intentionally keeps pricing as an input so the math remains valid as providers change prices.
Estimated cost per request
0 requests/month
(input tokens ÷ 1,000,000 × input rate) + (output tokens ÷ 1,000,000 × output rate), then multiply by monthly requests. Why input and output pricing must be separated
Many hosted language models price input and output tokens differently. Mixing them into one “per token” number hides an important lever: a workload that generates long answers can be materially more expensive than a workload that mostly sends context.
Use the calculator for scenarios, not false precision
Model the workload under low, expected, and high assumptions. Real bills can also include cached-input discounts, batch pricing, tool calls, image/audio tokens, provider-specific minimums, or other metered units. Those should be added as separate line items once you know the provider rules.
